This vintage Lietz Steel tripod easel stand is in excellent condition, The bottom legs do detach from the cylindrical base, it features (4) adjustment knobs for raising and lowering the easel, tilt and removal of the easel from its base. The wood easel itself is a very nice vintage wood in very good condition with no cracking or other damage. This is a very obscure item and extremely hard to find.We were not able to find any comps, at this point it looks like a one off item. This item came from a long standing artist on the Central Coast of California, a very unusual estate find! Please look at all pics as they show the true condition of this item, All adjusting knobs work flawlessly, There's absolutely no plastic pieces on this item.Everything is heavy metal.
