This machine is a lighter that features a wooden base, brass colored workings, a glass dome, and ticker tape. The inscription reads STOCK TICKER - Designed by Thomas Edison in 1870 this stock ticker was used for receiving stock quotations from the nation's leading exchanges for over 80 years. This piece makes a great
desk display with a green felt bottom.
