The throw is made of bright Southwestern colors of oranges, browns, teals, reds and white. There are pieced blocks of cacti (6) in pots. The backing has little brown and orange desert flowers and pale green leaves that pop up after a light rain. Quilt has the traditional binding. It is warm enough to cover your legs on chilly evenings or with your morning coffee.
RAGGING PROCESS and CARE:
I use three layers of 100% cotton fabric, the middle layer is flannel. To reduce shrinkage, all my fabric has been washed.
Edges are double stitched for added durability.
All my rag quilts are washed to begin the ragging process. Rag quilts are easy to care for, simply wash in cold water and tumble dry with low heat. They tend to shed lint with the first few washes so don’t forget to empty your dryer’s lint trap!
For those of you who are interested, all my blankets come from a smoke and pet free home!
The sun always shines in Yuma AZ.
