Under 5 million minted, the 1918S dated Buffalo nickels in raw state are a semi-key date due to lower mintage and scarcity in higher grades. Adding to this specimen is the character error known as Two Feathers which is caused by die abrasion on master dies essentially getting rid of or making figures/devices of a coin missing or no longer present in it's design. This particular coin would have a triangular shape behind the neck and below the other Feathers of the Indian Head dubbing the known error it's moniker. Known specimens regardless of date average between 50-75 in good condition and commands a premium for better date coins.
