High quality libethenite crystals. Contains many pockets and vugs of deep green crystals with amazing clarity. A substantial and very well-balanced specimen with varying shades of green.
Libethenite is an orthorhombic copper phosphate hydroxide mineral. It is found in oxidized zones of copper ore deposits and most readily forms from the weathering of phosphate rocks (such as apatite, monazite, and xenotime). Deposits of these minerals have more recently been found in the Congo, though sporadically, making these specimens exceptionally rare!

*Due to the nature of these crystals and very brittle matrix, a small amount of fallout during shipping is inevitable. As such, we have packed our specimens in a way meant to minimize this fallout.
Dimensions are approximate, as minerals come in unique, irregular shapes. Thank you for understanding!
