Lot of paper ephemera/collectibles from the Italians in Chicago cultural exhibit from 1981!
The Italians in Chicago exhibit was organized by the University of Illinois and the Chicago Public Library Cultural Center in 1981 to celebrate early Italian immigrants in Chicago and the efforts they played in helping to shape the city. A 2-year research study was conducted beginning in 1979 with the exhibit being the culmination of all the that was learned about the lives of the early Italian immigrants.
This lot includes:
A paper sheet detailing the exhibit (2 copies)
A miniature reprint of a section of the Chicago Tribune from December 23, 1980 on Italian Immigrants in Chicago and the (then)upcoming exhibit.
A folded invitation card for the exhibit
A green, white, and red Italians in Chicago brochure with many images and descriptions of Chicago's early Italian immigrants
