Natural Cleaved Fluorite Octahedron Blue Grey Cave-in-Rock Illinois Old Stock.
This is a naturally cleaved fluorite octahedron. Old stock from the 80’s. Yellowish clear in color with faint purple.
When the miners tapped on the fluorite at a certain point on the mineral the fluorite would break on the cleavage creating the octahedron shape.
