Woodcarved and hand painted mask from Indonesia (purchased on our trip in the 80s)
Has vintage wear such as some peeling of paints and shallow crack above its right ear as shown in photo #5. Its color varies slightly with different lighting. The photo taken out in the yard reflect the most accurate hues. 9”Hx7”Wx3.5”D
Quite an intricate carving ..great craftsmanship.
These are traditionally hung over entries or doorways as guardian or protector of one’s home
