American Numismatic Association-- These DDO proofs in high grade with great toning are very difficult to obtain1. Proof coins are often hard to find, especially in higher grades with beautiful toning and certified as original. Collectors may need to search for rare coins in dark rooms with bright lamp light.
The Double Die Obverse (DDO) is much harder to locate than the Double Die Reverse (DDR). This coin is a Proof-68 dime that is lovely pastel tones on both sides. These dimes are uncommon to find in any proof grade but higher grades with beautiful toning and certified as original toning are very hard to locate.
