This Hong Kong 50 Dollar banknote was issued in 1998 by the Standard Chartered Bank. Its obverse side depicts the bank logo pattern in underprint and a mythological guardian lion. The reverse side features the new Standard Chartered Bank headquarters building in the Central district of Hong Kong and a Bauhinia blakeana flower. The note measures 148 x 74 mm and is equipped with a solid security thread and a watermark image of an Allegorical helmeted warrior head and SCB to enhance its security features.
