I just got this and have to say it's much more impressive than the pic shows. First of all, it is rain repellant, but it's also lined, so it's warmer than your average raincoat. For northern California, where temps in the valled seldom go below 40F, this is really all the winter coat you need. The hood is lined & warm & it has large pockets which are also lined with soft fabric.
