I purchased this deadstock item from a vintage shop in Nagoya a few years ago. It is a 1959 Hood Handler Jacket. It is a rare white military jacket that I doubt you would even find in vintage stores. I wore it three times after buying it and have stored it for a long time. There is a slight yellowing on the collar, but it is not noticeable. The details on the sleeves are unique, and when you fold them up, it gives a nice vibe.
Although it is a size 17 1/2 and quite large, I have never seen it in any other size. Since it’s called a Hood Handler, I assume it was used by cooks. The USMC logo is still vibrant. There is also very little wear on it.
Given that it is a vintage piece from over 70 years ago, I believe its value will increase in the future.
